You are my Rib

A girl in love asked her boyfriend.

Girl (g): Tell me... whom you love most in this world?
Boy (b): You, of course!
(g): In your heart, what am I to you?
(b): The boy thought for a moment and looked intently in her eyes and said,

"You are my rib. In the Holy Book, it was said that God saw that Adam was lonely, during his sleep;
God took one of Adam's rib and created Eve. Every man has  been searching for his missing rib, only when you find the woman of your life; you'll no longer feel the lingering ache in your heart."

After their wedding, the couple had a sweet and happy life for a while. However, the youthful couple began to drift apart due to the busy  Schedule of life and the never-ending worries of daily problems... their life became mundane. All the challenges posed by the harsh realities of life began to gnaw away their dreams and love for each other. The couple began to have more quarrels and each quarrel became more heated.

One day, after the quarrel, the girl ran out of the house. At the opposite side of the road, she shouted,  "You don't love me!" The boy hated her childishness and out of impulse, retorted, "Maybe, it was a mistake for us to be together! You were never my missing rib!" Suddenly, she turned quiet and stood there for a long while. He regretted what he said but words spoken are like thrown away water, you  can never take it back. With tears, she went home to pack her things and was determined in breaking-up.

Before she left the house, "If I'm really not your missing rib, please let me go. She continued, "It is less painful this way... let us go on our separate ways and search for our own partners..."

Five years went by...
He never remarried but he had tried to find out about her life indirectly. She had left the country and back. She had married a foreigner and divorced..... He felt anguished that she never waited for him.
In the dark and lonely night, he lit his cigarette and felt the lingering ache in his heart. He couldn't bring himself to admit that he was missing her. One day, they finally met at the airport, a place where there were many reunions and good-byes. He was going away on a business trip. She was standing there alone, with just the security door separating them. She smiled at him gently.
(b): How are you?
(g): I'm fine. How about you? Have you found your missing
rib?
(b): No.
(g): I'll be flying to New York in the next flight.
(b): I'll be back in 2 weeks time. Give me a call when you
are back...You know my number...nothing has changed.
With a smile, she turned around and waved good-bye.
Good-bye...

One week later, he heard of her death. She had perished in New York. In the event that shocked the world. Midnight, once again, he lit his cigarette and like before, he felt the lingering ache in his heart. He finally knew, she was the missing rib that he had carelessly broken.

Sometimes, people say things out of moments of fury. Most often than  not, the outcome could be disastrous and detrimental. We vent our frustrations 99% at our loved ones and even though we know that we ought to "think twice and act wisely", it's often easier said than done.

Things happen each day, many of which are beyond our control.
Let us treasure every moment and everyone in our lives.
Tomorrow may never come; give and accept what you have today.

"The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that
she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must
be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the
place where love resides."

I broke up with her...!!!

Boy:I broke up with her...
His Best Friend:What happened?

Boy:She’s just too much for me.
His Best Friend:What makes you say that? What did she do wrong?

Boy:Well, ...for one.. She only cared about her appearance. Always had to look good,
always took forever to get dressed! So insecure..
His Best Friend:So, you broke her heart because she wanted to keep your eyes
locked on her? She wanted you to see that you have the prettiest girl
under your sleeve and not think otherwise? I see..

Boy:Oh.. Well..
She’d often call me or text me asking where I am, who I’m with, telling
me not to smoke, not to drink. She’s so clingy!
His Best Friend:So,
you broke her heart because she cares about your well being? Because she
cares about you a lot? And her greatest fear is losing you. I see..

Boy:But.. Uh.. Well, she’d always cry when I say something slightly
mean. She can’t handle anything. She’s a cry-baby!
His Best Friend:So,
you broke her heart because she has feelings? And because she just
wanted to hear you say you love her? I see..

Boy:I.. Well! You know,
she’d get jealous easily. I could barely talk to other girls! She’s so
annoying! I had to hide it from her.
His Best Friend:So, you broke
her heart because she just wanted you to commit to her? She thought you
were faithful, but you lied so she could find out later and hurt even
more? She just wanted the guy she loves the most to love only her. I
see..

Boy:Well, she..
His Best Friend:You broke up with her
because she’s good for you? She just wanted the best for you? She’s
broken now because you were selfish. Are you proud?

Boy:I broke her heart.. Because I couldn’t see what was happening.. What happened to me?
His Best Friend:You lost the girl that loved you like no one else could.
You see?
You didn’t want her when all she ever wanted was you, that's what happened...!!!

Best Difference : Like or Love

What is love? When we claim that its love that we have for someone, are we correct? Something to ponder upon.....

Are your palms sweaty, is your heart racing and is your voice caught within your chest?
It isn't love, it’s like.

You can't keep your eyes or hands off of them, am I right?
It isn't love, its lust.

Are you proud, and eager to show them off?
It isn't love, its luck.

Do you want them because you know they're there?
It isn't love, its loneliness.

Are you there because it's what everyone wants?
It isn't love, its loyalty.

Are you there because they kissed you, or held your hand?
It isn't love, its low confidence.

Do you stay for their confessions of love, because you don't want to hurt them?
It isn't love, its pity.

Do you belong to them because their sight makes your heart skip a beat?
It isn't love, its infatuation.

Do you pardon their faults because you care about them?
It isn't love, its friendship.

Do you tell them every day they are the only one you think of?
It isn't love, it's a lie.

Are you willing to give all of your favorite things for their sake?
It isn't love, its charity.

Does your heart ache and break when they're sad?
Then it's love.

Do you cry for their pain, even when they're strong?
Then it's love.

Do their eyes see your true heart, and touch your soul so deeply it hurts?
Then it's love.

Do you stay because a blinding, incomprehensible mix of pain and relation pulls you close and holds you there?
Then it's love.

Do you accept their faults because they're a part of who they are?
Then it's love.

Are you attracted to others, but stay with them faithfully without regret?
Then it's love.

Would you allow them to leave you, not because they want to but because they have to?
Then its love.

Would you give them your heart, your life, your death?
Then it's love.

Now, if love is painful, and tortures us so, why do we love? Why is it all we search for in life? This pain, this agony? Why is it all we long for? This torture, this powerful death of self? Why?

The answer is so simple because it's...LOVE. It is such an addiction that even people who are not having it wish to experience and share it with someone!

A Date with Another Woman

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said I love you but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you.

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie.
"What's wrong, are you well," she asked? My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.
"I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you," I responded. “Just the two of us."
She thought about it for a moment, and then said, “I would like that very much."
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed t hat she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary.

She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's.

"I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed, "she said, as she got into the car.”They can't wait to hear about our meeting".
We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down,

I had to read the menu. Large print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips.
"It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small," she said.
"Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor," I responded.
During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation - nothing extraordinary, but catching up on recent events of each other's life. We talked so much that we missed the movie.
As we arrived at her house later, she said, "I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you." I agreed.
"How was your dinner date?" asked my wife when I got home. "Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined," I answered.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't do anything for her.
Sometime later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined.
An attached note said: "I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me. I love you, son."
At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: “I LOVE YOU!" and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve.
Nothing in life is more important than God and your family. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till "some other time."

True Love : Redefined

Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around.

You tell them things that you've never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more.

You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you.

When something wonderful happens, you can't wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement.

They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself.

Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful.

There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition
but only a quiet calmness when they are around.

You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are.

The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever.

Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it's like being young again. Colors seem brighter and more brilliant.

Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn't exist at all.

A phone call or two during the day helps to get you
through a long day's work and always brings a smile to your face.

In their presence, there's no need for continuous conversation, but you find you're quite content in just having them nearby.

Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you.

You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon.

You open your heart knowing that there's a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible.

You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that's so real it scares you.

You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and
possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end.

Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.

Life is LOVE…..

Part of Love

A girl was sitting on a chair at the gas station she worked at. She looked up and saw her boyfriend walk in.
As he was looking at snacks, a man walked in and pointed a gun at her. He had been admiring her ring her boyfriend had given to her as a token of his love. When he asked her to give it to him, she said no. Her boyfriend looked up just in time to see her shot. He ran over to the killer and beat him over the head with a hammer that was for sale.
Then he ran and called 911. When the ambulance came, he was sobbing uncontrollably near his girlfriend.
The doctor came over and felt for her pulse. Then he stood up and said she was still alive. Later at the hospital, as he was sitting beside her, he asked “Why didn't you just give him the ring?" and then she softly spoke “Because when you gave it to me, you said it was part of your love for me and I knew if I gave him the ring, I would lose that love." The next day, she was pronounced dead.

Without you, I will Die...

one night a guy and girl were driving home from the movies. The boy sensed there was something wrong because of the painful silence they shared between them that night. The girl then asked the boy to pull over because she wanted to talk. She told him that her feelings had changed and that it was time to move on.
A silent tear slid down his cheek as he slowly reached into his pocket and passed her a folded note. At that moment, a drunk driver was speeding down that very same street. He swerved right into the driver’s seat, killing the boy.
Miraculously, the girl survived. Remembering the note, she pulled it out and read it.
“Without your love, I would die."
